Renewed Strength Church Articles of Faith

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21

  2. We believe in the Trinity of God. The Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit are “One God” and They are three Distinct Persons. Genesis 1:26, Mark 1:9-11

  3. We believe in God the Father who is eternal, and that He sent His only begotten son to redeem mankind. He is to be worshipped in spirit and in truth. Genesis 1:1, John 6:44, John 8:28, John 1:1-3

  4. We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross and ascended to heaven. He is now exalted at the right hand of God as our High Priest and Intercessor. John 1:1-3, 14, Luke 1:35, Romans 3:24-25, Romans 8:34, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 9:24

  5. We believe in the Holy Spirit, that He is the Third Person of the Godhead, who convicts the world of sin. He fills the believer with the Baptism of the Spirit for an empowering of spiritual gifts to strengthen His church for witnessing and He comforts and guides in all truth. John 16:7-11, 1 Corinthians 12:1-14

  6. We believe in salvation through new birth, that when a sinner comes to Him and repents of their sins and receives forgiveness, that he is made into a new creature in Christ. John 3:3, 1 John 1:9

  7. We believe in baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:35-38

  8. We believe in Communion (the Lord’s supper) as a memorial of the anointing sacrifice and remembrance of His second coming. Luke 22:17-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

  9. We believe in Sanctification that begins with the new birth. As our maturity grows in the Spirit and our relationship with God becomes stronger, our lives change into what the Word of God wants us to be. John 17:15-17, Ephesians 5:25-27, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4

  10. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in which He fills the believer with His Spirit. Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:38-39, Acts10:45-46

  11. We believe in divine healing. When God confirms His word with signs, it will bring glory to God and edification to the Church. Mark 16:17-20, Acts 5:16, James 5:14-15

  12. We believe in the fivefold ministry offices of the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers which are still active in the Body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-14

  13. We believe in supporting the ministry through tithes and offerings to finance our church and missions for the spreading of the Gospel. Malachi 3:10, Matthew 23:23, Acts 4:34-37, Corinthians 9:6-7
